Fish at fixed depth or “slip” fish with great buoyancy to manage heavy tackle and bait. You’ll be maintaining great visibility before and after catch in rough water.
The name implies use for sharks but the truth is these have many additional uses. The large size of the "shark" float lends itself to a variety of both large live bait and cut bait presentations. In fresh water, suspending large live baits such a giant gizzard shad, skipjack hearing, or even whole carp is possible with these floats. In salt water, the namesake of these float is certainly realized. You can suspend any variety of large live bait for the endless species of sharks or any other saltwater species you wish to target.
BDT Pro Tip: These make a great float for your tools. You can use a section of paracord thought the center of the float and attach anything from a Boga grip, pliers, knives, etc. We have even used the for a float on our drift sock cords.
