Dragging baits has become a go to technique for many tournament angler as well as the recreational angler looking to put fish in the boat. This technique allows you to cover large areas of water and find fish, not just sit and wait (hope) the fish find you. The Reel Em Up Cat Draggers dragging weight will glide over the bottom, allowing for a lot less snagged rigs / lost gear than a traditional sinker, or an improperly designed dragging weight. These dragging weights are designed with a chamber of air trapped in the tubbing which allows the weight to glide over the bottom. The smooth, even shape means if the head of the sinker can fit through structure or a snag, the rest of the sinker will come through without getting snagged. This results in a smoother pull and less loading releasing of your rods (jerking), allowing the bait to glide through the water in a more natural presentation. Whether using them straight off the back of the boat or in conjunction with planer boards, using a well designed dragging weight is a great way to put more fish in the boat, not to mention it will help you spend more time fishing and less time and money re-tying rigs.
